Educational Objectives
1. For young people relatively
unfamiliar with the Arts, Y
PAINT will introduce some of the people, ideas and methods in Art,
especially painting and music.
2. For young people already involved in the Arts, Y PAINT will enhance
their experience with new people, ideas and methods.
3. For all participants, Y PAINT provides a novel and integrative
approach to the Arts. The young people will learn--hear and see--how the
Arts all share the creative expression of emotions.
4. Y PAINT participants directly experience this creativity in the act
of painting. While the model provides structure--and ties the painting
to the music--there is ample opportunity for individual expression
within the model framework.
5. By taking their framed Artwork home, Y PAINT participants will
continue to be inspired to create and appreciate Art.
